We are thrilled to share fundraising updates and extend our heartfelt thanks to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre Company for their recent outstanding production of Beauty and the Beast. Their spectacular performances not only wowed audiences but also helped raise vital funds for our ongoing work at the theatre.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of all involved, Beauty and the Beast raised an outstanding £5,400 in ticket sales, along with an additional £680 from the raffle! This brings us one step closer to our goal of enhancing the theatre’s facilities and continuing to offer exceptional performances for our community. A huge thank you to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre Company and everyone who came to watch the show!
To date, we have raised a total of £100,000 towards our ‘Heart for the Arts’ campaign: the development of our much-needed Garden Room. However, there is still work to be done, We are £20,000 short of our fundraising target and we need your support!
Looking ahead, our next fundraising event is the annual York Community Choir Festival, 2-8 March. This is a week-long celebration of local musical talent, bringing together choirs from York and its surrounding areas, including Harrogate, Selby and Malton. Money raised by ticket sales will go towards our ‘Heart for the Arts’ campaign – secure your seat now!
Thank you once again to everyone who has helped us reach this incredible milestone, and to all those who have supported our fundraising efforts so far!
We look forward to seeing you at the Choir Festival and, once we have reached our fundraising total, in our new Garden Room later in the year!
