The Leeds International Film Festival has launches its programme for 2020, due to commence on the 3rd November and running until the 19th November.
Each event will be presented in either dedicated venues or on the festival's new streaming platform, Leeds Film Player. Their regular programme sections for new films - Official Selection, Cinema Versa, Fanomenon and Leeds Short FIlm Awards - return with the same dedication to diverse filmmaking from the UK and around the world.
The festival has worked closely with its venue partners - Leeds Town Hall, Vue Cinemas and City Varieties in partnership with Hyde Park Picture House - to provide a safe LIFF 2020 experience, with the Leeds Film Player being launched for anyone to view films from home anywhere in the UK.
For more information on the LIFF 2020 programme, venues and booking information and the screening schedule, visit the Leeds Film website.
This event has been listed as part of the Virtual Theatre and is not run by the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. For all enquiries, please contact the organiser.
We can't go out so we're not spending money on things like coffee and cakes, glass of wine or beer, and generally eating out and socialising.
Why not pop the money you’ve saved on some of these things into a jar and put it towards the Raise the Roof appeal. If we ask friends and family to do the same we could raise a reasonable amount of money for the appeal.
Even if we only put a couple of pounds a week away it would all add up. What do you think - shall we give it a go? It would be great if once our wonderful theatre can reopen we have lots of jars of money to hand over!
