Front of House Stewards

Our stewards play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the theatre’s front of house.

As a steward, you will meet, greet, and assist theatre patrons, guide them to their seats, and sell programmes and treats. You will also be crucial in ensuring the safety of our guests during an evacuation in the unlikely event of an emergency.

One of the perks of this role is that you will sit in the auditorium during the shows you steward, allowing you to enjoy watching a wide variety of performances while making sure every audience member has the best possible experience.

We welcome volunteers over the age of 16. You should be comfortable handling money and using a simple card payment machine. You’ll also need to be confident speaking to people. No previous experience is necessary and full training will be provided.

The time commitment is flexible, typically involving one or two evenings and/or a weekend afternoon per month, with shifts generally running from approximately 6:45 pm to 10:15 pm (1:45 pm to 5:15 pm for matinées).

If you love live performances and enjoy engaging with people, this is a rewarding opportunity you won’t want to miss.
