York Musical Theatre Company is York’s longest running amateur theatre company and have been making musical theatre in the city since 1902! In our centenary year in 2002, we changed our name from York Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society to York Musical Theatre Company.
What do we do?
We perform shows and concerts in venues across the city including York Theatre Royal and the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. There are also a range of smaller events, concerts, festive productions, fund-raising and social events which members are involved in.
As one of the leading amateur companies in York we stage a main musical in April/May each year with another theatre production in the autumn.
