Are you looking to get involved in your local community?
Working as part of the trustee board, you will have a great opportunity to shape the future of the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. Whether you have experience and want to share it, or a passion to get involved and want to learn, then we could have the role for you.
The roles are voluntary. You will need time to undertake the activities required within the role, usually around 20 hours per month, and other board responsibilities. These include attending regular board meetings and acting as a duty manager (with another board member for up to four performances per month), to ensure the smooth operation of the theatre during performances.
Trustee roles give you the opportunity to gain experience working at a board/strategic level and learn what is involved so no previous experience is required.
The Joseph Rowntree Theatre’s vision is to be an inspiring community hub for performing arts and other entertainment and occupies a unique, well-equipped Art Deco building, dating from 1935.
