Are you aged 17-25 and looking for a fun, affordable night out in York?

We’ve got just the ticket – literally. Well, in fact 2! Our 17-25 Theatre Membership is free to join and gives you and a friend 2 tickets at an affordable price for multiple shows during a season.

At the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, we believe that theatre is for everyone. That’s why we’re launching our new membership to build our local theatre community and welcome 17-25 year-olds into our vibrant theatre.

How does it work?

Each season there will be 500 tickets available across a variety of shows. We’ve got plays, tribute bands, musicals and much more! Membership entitles you to 2 tickets for each show for just £20, or 1 ticket for £10.

The stage is set. Just three simple steps till the curtain goes up:

1. Register for your 17-25 membership account – don’t forget to include your date of birth
2. Submit your proof of ID – this can be your passport, driving licence, travel card or student card. Simply scan in your ID and upload it on the Membership Page. We will not keep a copy of your ID after your date of birth has been confirmed. 
3. Once your ID has been processed, you will receive membership confirmation and be ready to book your tickets for any show listed under "Genre" as "17-25".

If you want to use your membership immediately, simply bring your ID with you and the Box Office team will be able to complete the confirmation before your chosen show.
